Our good friend, Paul Asher a.k.a Rice Paddy, is back in London after his extensive travels and work placements across South East Asia. An enthusiasm for Thai cuisine led Paul to explore the street food of the northern regions and cook in a couple of Bangkok's most exciting kitchens. We are excited to announce that he will be taking over our kitchen for a short residency starting the 11th October. His menu will take inspiration from the kitchens he worked in throughout his travels with a particular focus on Northern Thai food. Think delicious smoky grilled meats like Gai Yang (marinated barbeque chicken) and Sai Oua (aromatic northern sausage) paired with sour/spicy dips and salads such as Som Dtam. Hailing from Ireland, Paul is a big fan of quality British and Irish produce which will be used in his dishes.
Paul is obsessed with big yet balanced flavours and much of his menu will be cooked over fire with everything being made from scratch in-house. His dishes are spicy, smoky, sour, salty and sweet in the best way possible.
In other great news, throughout Rice Paddy’s takeover, we are going to open late till late on Fridays and Saturdays for some filthy delicious snacks… filth - disco – scoops!
Throughout the residency, we will continue to serve our much-loved Bottle + Rye cocktails and wines with the addition of selection of drinks that have been chosen specifically as the ideal pairing to Paul's food.
